DECS Designated: Music Tours Tours have long been a feature of our Music Department calendar and usually combine a school exchange with public concerts, workshops and local school support strategies. International Overseas tours to Europe initiated an exchange pattern with our counterparts in Britain, schools such as Chetham's School of Music in Manchester, Pimlico School in Central London, The Purcell School at Harrow and the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey. On a tour to Japan our 53 piece orchestra performed to 3,000 in the Okayama Concert Hall. Interstate Interstate tours here have provided our ensembles with the opportunity to perform in the concert halls around Australia including Melbourne Concert Hall, the Great Hall of Parliament House in Canberra, the Opera House, the Town Hall and St Andrew's Cathedral in Sydney as well as the Wrest Point Performance Complex in Hobart. The school has also been forging links with a sister school in Soja City, Okayama, Japan
