SPORTING TEAMS
Students representing the school in sport should wear the appropriate
uniform which in general is the Physical Education uniform. Please check
with the Physical Education Department or Team Manager of the particular
sport. Team sports tops available from Uniform Shop. Students should arrive
at the venue in sports uniform i.e. navy track pants, school Rugby Top
over uniform if it is cold.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Navy shorts with sky blue Polo Shirt.
Sports shoes/sandshoes with WHITE or NON MARKING sole.
School designed track suit optional but encouraged.
SCHOOL BAGS
Only plain navy bags are acceptable. School Bags available through
Uniform Shop - backpacks which are designed to prevent postural damage
are strongly encouraged. No logos, stripes, stickers or graffiti are
acceptable on school bags.
NOTES ON THE WEARING
OF UNIFORM
All school clothing must be clearly labelled with the student's
name. This aids recovery if items are lost.
Summer - Girls may not wear stockings with the summer dress or
summer walk shorts. Socks (to cover ankles or above) must be worn with
all footwear.
Winter - The school blazer is the only acceptable warm, winter
jacket to be worn in school. School W/P jacket available at Uniform Shop
or Waterproof overjacket (eg parka worn to and from school) must be in
plain navy. Summer casual shirts are not to be worn in winter unless
over 18*. The blue and white striped shirts must be worn tucked in neatly
for 2nd and 3rd Terms only. When ties are worn the shirt neck is to be
buttoned up and the tie worn correctly. A plain white skivvy may be worn
underneath the Rugby Top for warmth. Plain navy scarf may be worn in winter.
Trousers must not be modified or tucked into socks.
Jewellery: Only the following may be worn.
- a single chain
necklet (inside clothing and not visible)
- up to 3 plain rings
- a single plain
arm bracelet (including those for medical purposes)
- small plain ear
sleepers or studs (one pair of)
- watches
- ribbons, scrunchies,
hair combs in plain navy blue or white
Nose
or other body piercing -rings or studs are not part of
school uniform and are not permitted.
Make up is not to be worn with school uniform.
No coloured nail varnish is to be worn.
Bicycle helmets are required to be worn by Law.
Footwear: Sandals may not be worn in Technical Studies where
Industrial Safety Regulations apply. Either ankle socks or stockings
must be worn with shoes and sandals.
Hair is to be neat and in conventional style and colour.
