Getting There and Away

Situated only four kilometres from the centre of the city of Adelaide the school is well served by public transport from all areas of Adelaide, making it easily accessible by bus from any part of the city. It is serviced by twelve bus routes.

Commences from Stop 49 Silkes Road (facing north towards the River Torrens) at 7.47am picking up and setting down students to Athelstone via Silkes Rd, right George St, Lower Athelstone Rd, right Coulls Rd.

Departs Athelstone (Coulls Road) at 7.55am continuing to pick up and set down students as requested via right Gorge Rd, left Stradbroke Rd, right Graves St, left Newton Rd, right Cresdee Rd, right Reserve Rd, left Clairville Rd, right Heading Ave, left Lower Nth East Rd, Glynburn Rd, right The Parade, left Shipsters Rd, right Kensington Rd. (Set down MARRYATVILLE HIGH and LORETO students) right Portrush Rd (Set down MARY McKILLOP students), to corner of Portrush Rd/The Parade.

Commences from Graves St, Newton Stop 37 (facing east towards the Hills). Departs Stop 37 at 7.38am picking up and setting down as requested via Graves St, left Stradbroke Rd, right Gorge Rd, left Coulls Rd.

Departs Athelstone (Coulls Road) at 7.50am continuing to pick up and set down students as requested via left Lower Athelstone Rd, George St, left Silkes Rd, right Gorge Rd (set down CHARLES CAMPBELL HIGH students), left Newton Rd, right Hambledon Rd, Left Clairville Rd, right Heading Ave, left Lower North East Rd, Glynburn Rd, left the Parade, right Taylor Tce, left Ayr St, Left Primrose Tce, setting down NORWOOD MORIALTA HIGH STUDENTS then left The Parade, left Shipsters Rd, right Kensington Rd (set down MARRYATVILLE HIGH and LORETO students) right Portrush Rd (set down MARY MACKILLOP students), to Portrush Rd / the Parade.

Commences from Stop 5 on Payneham Road (just north of Harrow Road by BP station) at 7.50am picking up and setting down via Payneham Rd, right Portrush Rd (MARY MACKILLOP COLLEGE) and left Kensington Rd to LORETO COLLEGE School Bus Stop. Departs 8.08am to MARRYATVILLE HIGH SCHOOL then continues to St Ignatius Athelstone.

Commences from Kensington Road (Marryatville High School Bus Stop). Buses depart Marryatville High at 3.35pm and 3.45pm (also 2.45pm Tuesdays Only) picking up and setting down all students as requested via Kensington Rd, right Portrush Rd, right The Parade, left Glynburn Rd, Lower North East Rd, right Heading Ave, left Clairville Rd, right Hambledon Rd, left Newton Rd, right Gorge Rd, left Silkes Rd, right George St, Lower Athelstone Rd, right Coulls Rd to Athelstone.
Arrives Coulls Rd approx 4.16pm, then continues around loop via right Gorge Rd. (Pick up ST.IGNATIUS students in Gorge Rd. if requested), left Stradbroke Rd; right Graves St. to Graves St / Newton Rd; then continues setting down only via Newton Rd; right Cresdee Rd; right Reserve Rd; left Clairville Rd; right Heading Ave; left Lower North East Rd; Payneham Rd; then via North Tce and King William St to Victoria Square.

SCHOOL BUS “C” – P.M.
Commences from Kensington Road (Marryatville High School Bus Stop). Departs Marryatville High at 3.35pm (also 2.45pm Tuesdays Only) to the City via Kensington Road, Dequetteville Terrace, Rundle Road, East Terrace and North Tce.

SCHOOL BUS “P” – P.M.
Commences from Kensington Road (Stop 6 eastbound) at 3.27pm via Kensington Road to Penfold Road. Departs Loreto School Bus Stop at 3.35pm, Marryatville High School (Stop 8) at approximately 3.36pm.

CIRCLE LINE (ROUTE 100) SERVICES
The Circle Line operates in both Clockwise and Anticlockwise directions and travels along Portrush Road. The nearest stops to Marryatville High School are Stops 147 and 148.
Please refer to the Circle Line (Route 100) timetable for details of the Circle Line route and timetabled services. EXTRA Circle Line services operate at school times on school days as follows:
MORNING: 100K (8:00am from Stop 10 North East Rd) and 100U (7:51am and 8:12am from Klemzig O-Bahn Station). AFTERNOON: 100W bus departs from Stop 148 Portrush Rd (west side) at 3:38pm, via the Circle Line route to O.G. Road, then left North East Rd to Stop 10.

ROUTE 141-142 SERVICES
The 141 service (City-Stonyfell) and 142 service (City-Burnside) operate in both directions along Kensington Road. The nearest stop to Marryatville High School is Stop 8 on Kensington Road, near the School Crossing. Please refer to the 141-142 timetable for details.

TICKETING INFORMATION
All Torrens Transit services, including the above School Buses, operate on the Metroticket system. Current Primary and Secondary student fares (effective 2 July 2006 until further notice) are $1.80 Singletrip (2 hour) or the more economical $8.50 Multitrip (10 x 2 hour trips – equates to 85 cents per trip, less than half the price of a Singletrip ticket). Singletrip tickets may be purchased on board buses, while Multitrip tickets can be purchased from Licensed Ticket Vendors (delis, newsagents, and other businesses displaying Metroticket signage), attended Railway Stations and Bus Depots, or the InfoCentre on the corner of King William and Currie Streets in the city. Students 15 years or over must travel with an approved concession pass if not wearing a recognisable school uniform.

In addition, students may opt to ride their bicycles which are secured during the day.
