Nature of the Community

The community of Marryatville High is drawn from a wide range of suburbs across Adelaide. Many students from outside the zone of right attend the school to access special interest courses, and for other reasons (see enrolments section).

Regardless of how students feel in their early years, they graduate with a sense of discovery of their hidden strengths and how to reach their full potential.

Marryatville has a tradition of strong parent involvement through School Council and subsidiary councils. An annual Work-In-Sunday involves two thirds of the families of the school in maintaining the buildings and grounds.

This is a community with expectations of its members and they "expect the best" of the school.
