Committees: School Council: Sports

Parents are the backbone of support for the many extra-curricular activities which Marryatville is able to offer students. The Council meets once a term with staff to develop and coordinate these activities.

This Council provides ideas and support for the co-curriculum co-ordinator and the sporting program. Everything from fundraising to identifying coaches is addressed by this effective council.

Sport is an important part of the total school curriculum. Parental support and involvement, both practical (where feasible) and moral, is a basic expectation of members of the school community. Our support for high achievers and flexible attitude in negotiating their academic program has led to students in this school representing their state in many sports.
