| This
is a group of parents who have been very active over the last 7 years
in a wide range of Music Centre events, particularly in the area of
Concert Management and Fundraising. The main function of the group
will be helping with the planning of concerts, helping with performances,
etc. Meetings are on Wednesdays in weeks 3, 6, and 9 each term from
6-7pm, and are held in the Stables. Any new/existing parents that
are interested in being part of this support group are most welcome
to attend and any questions can be directed to Darlene Newitt/Music
Secretary on 8304 8431. |
Adelaide
Town Hall Concert
Our annual Adelaide Town Hall Concert (always fully subscribed) is a memorable
evening for everyone who attends. This is the showcase of the depth and
range of talents of teachers and students - not to be missed.
Band Night
A fun evening displaying the large range of bands within the school with
one guest appearance - Junior Band, Senior Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Ensemble,
Percussion Group, Year 9 Band. A liaison with the Police Band leads to
interesting music sharing.
Junior Concert
All the ensembles for the Middle Years 8 - 10 demonstrate their developing
expertise and considerable talents.
Twilight Concert
The Twilight Concert is held in November under the majestic gums in the
grounds of the school. Families picnic whilst listening to a range of
ensembles.
New Music Concert
A spine tingling concert as young people perform their own compositions.
Other special productions regularly provide family opportunities for participation
in the life of the school.
