Marryatville
High School holds a number of public concert performances throughout the
year. The highlight of the musical calendar is our annual Marryatville
in Concert, held at Adelaide Town Hall, a memorable evening. This is the
showcase of the depth and range of talents of teachers and students -
not to be missed.
Other highlights include
the Sounds of Winter orchestral concert and the Junior Concert, both opportunities
for our students to demonstrate their developing expertise and considerable
talents. All music students are expected to join a choral group and the
Autumn Choral Concert is a display of their talents.
A great community
tradition is the Twilight Concert and Art Show held under the gums at
Marryatville, a family picnic event celebrating our music and visual art
across all year levels.
A presentation Night
is held in November and provides an opportunity to farewell our Year 12
students and recognise scholarship and sports performances of merit among
all senior students.
Marryatville's new
338-seat performing arts centre is the focus of music and art and drama,
a school gathering place and a community resource for the eastern suburbs.
